SAEDNEWS: A fire broke out on a cargo ship docked at the Port of Los Angeles on Friday.
More than 100 firefighters responded after an electrical fire broke out on a vessel, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass confirmed.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that all crew members were evacuated from a burning ship at San Pedro port on Friday. The fire triggered an explosion that disrupted power and crane operations.
By around 8:27 p.m. (0427 GMT), all remaining crew members had been safely assisted off the vessel, bringing the total to 23 evacuated without any injuries. Six crew members had previously been unaccounted for.
