SAEDNEWS: Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Thursday that the issue of Iran’s nuclear program can only be resolved through diplomatic means.
According to the Political Service of Saed News, Putin emphasized at the second Russia–Central Asia summit that Iran is willing to pursue a diplomatic path to resolve its nuclear program issue. He stated, “We are in close contact with our Iranian partners and sense their determination to find mutually acceptable solutions and to resume constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”
According to TASS news agency, the Russian president confirmed that he had detailed discussions with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, regarding the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear program. He said, “If you pay attention, the IAEA Director General recently visited our country. We discussed this matter in detail, and he also referred to the Iranian side’s commitment to resolve all outstanding issues.”
Putin noted, “There are still technical issues, but all of them, once the agreements are implemented, will play a crucial role in reaching a final settlement on this complex regional issue.”
He also emphasized that the Israeli regime has no intention of confronting Iran and seeks a peaceful resolution. He added, “We continue to maintain contact with Israel and have received messages from Israeli leaders to convey to our Iranian friends. The message is that Israel seeks a diplomatic settlement and is not looking for conflict.”
