SAEDNEWS: The Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted a new drone operation against Israeli targets in the occupied territories in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip amid the genocidal war on the besieged territory.
The Israeli military reported on Sunday that Yemeni forces launched an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) toward Ramon Airport near Eilat, which was successfully intercepted by Israel’s anti-air missile systems, according to Press TV.
Hebrew-language media confirmed that sirens were activated in the nearby Be’er Ora community settlement, alerting residents to the potential threat.
This latest incident follows a series of bold strikes claimed by the Yemeni military less than a week ago, targeting Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Ramon Airport, and a sensitive facility in Dimona, using home-grown drones. Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni military, stated that the operations had “attained their desired objectives.”
The attacks are part of Yemen’s broader response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which erupted in October 2023. In addition to UAV strikes, Yemeni forces have imposed a strategic maritime blockade to disrupt military supplies to Israel and carried out multiple missile attacks on key targets in Israeli-occupied territories, emphasizing their solidarity with the Palestinian population.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared their commitment to continuing operations until Israel halts its ground and aerial attacks on Gaza—a conflict that has tragically claimed over 64,800 Palestinian lives, many of them women and children.
This escalation underscores the widening regional impact of the Gaza conflict and signals a volatile period for Israeli security and international diplomacy.
