SAEDNEWS: Seventeen Ukrainian drones were shot down over several Russian regions in the nighttime, the Russian defense ministry said.
During the past night, Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed seventeen Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles across several regions. The breakdown of the intercepts included six drones over the Voronezh Region, five over Belgorod, two each over Bryansk and Kursk, and one each over Lipetsk and Tambov.
The coordinated air defense operations underscore Russia’s ongoing efforts to secure its airspace amid continued drone incursions from Ukraine. Analysts note that these repeated drone attempts highlight the intensifying aerial dimension of the ongoing conflict and the increasing reliance on unmanned technology in regional skirmishes.
