Five police officers were killed in a terrorist attack targeting two patrol vehicles in Iranshahr, southeastern Iran.
On Friday, armed assailants attacked two police patrol units on the Khash-Iranshahr Road, leading to the tragic loss of five officers.
The attack occurred during a patrol at the Daman checkpoint on the outskirts of Iranshahr city, where these brave officers were martyred in a cowardly assault. The attackers fled the scene after committing the crime.
The official media reported that efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for this terrorist act have been prioritized by security and law enforcement forces.
Iranshahr, a city situated in the Sistan and Baluchestan province, is located 337 kilometers away from Zahedan, the capital of this province.
