According to Saed News’ Cooking Service, to cook a perfect steak, start by trimming the outer fat from the meat, as it can affect the flavor and give the steak a burnt-fat taste. Keep the internal marbling, as it adds flavor and juiciness. The steak should be about 4 centimeters thick. Pat the meat dry with a thick paper towel. Then season both sides generously with salt and black pepper, massaging it in so the meat is fully coated.

Prepare the steak seasoning mixture. In a small saucepan, combine butter, thyme, rosemary, garlic, and green onions, and heat gently while stirring until the butter melts. Pour this mixture over the steak at least 10 minutes before grilling to let it absorb the flavors.

For a richer flavor, you can prepare the butter mixture two hours in advance; this allows the herbs and aromatics to infuse into the butter, enhancing the steak’s taste. Regardless, always pour the mixture over the steak 10 minutes before grilling. This buttery herb sauce also works beautifully for chicken.

Grill the steak over direct heat to your desired doneness. Place it on the grill to achieve a crispy exterior while keeping the interior tender and caramelized. Cook each side for 7 to 10 minutes, turning only when the steak has developed a rich brown color, just like in restaurants.

If the steak browns too quickly, the grill is too hot; turn the steak and reduce the heat. If the interior is still too pink, increase the heat or let it cook for 2–3 more minutes until it reaches the desired doneness.
