According to SAEDNEWS, A mushroom and cheese hamburger is a restaurant-style dish that can make anyone’s mouth water just at the thought of it. Like the hot dog, this popular dish traces its origins back to Germany, but today it is served all over the world. It is especially loved by children and is mostly found in restaurants, though many people enjoy preparing it at home for their family members.
Ground beef: 300 grams
Onion: 1 medium-sized
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
Breadcrumbs: 1 tablespoon
Mushrooms: 200 grams
Gouda cheese slices: 2
To make mushroom and cheese burgers, start by finely grating the onion. Squeeze out the excess juice from the grated onion, then place it in a suitable bowl along with the ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix the ingredients by hand until they are fully combined and form a uniform mixture.
Tip: Unlike kebab koobideh, you shouldn’t over-knead the burger mixture to avoid making the burger too dry; this helps keep it juicy.
Once the ingredients are well combined, divide the burger mixture into two equal portions. Use a burger press or the lid of a large container to shape the patties. Place each patty between two layers of freezer-safe plastic wrap and refrigerate them for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Meanwhile, slice the mushrooms, then heat a suitable pan over medium heat and add some butter or oil. Add the mushrooms to the pan and sauté them over medium-high heat until they release their moisture. To prevent the mushrooms from turning dark, add a bit of lemon juice. Once the mushrooms are well sautéed, sprinkle some salt over them and remove them from the pan.
Add a little more oil to the pan and wait until it gets hot. Once the oil is hot, remove the patties from the plastic wrap and place them in the pan. Once one side of the burgers is browned, flip them over to cook the other side. Place the cheese slices on top of the burgers and let them melt. If the cheese is taking too long to melt, cover the pan for a few minutes to help the cheese melt faster.
Once the burgers are cooked, slice the buns and toast the cut side in the pan for a few minutes until it’s crispy. Then, add the burger, mushrooms, and other toppings along with your favorite sauce to assemble your sandwich.
