Russia Urges Israel to Avoid Strikes on Iran's Nuclear Sites

According to SAEDNEWS, Russia's Foreign Minister has sent a strong warning to Israel regarding its potential actions against Iran's nuclear facilities. Sergey Lavrov stated that if Israel were to attack these civilian sites, it would be a "very serious provocation."

In a news conference held in Vientiane, Laos, Lavrov expressed concern over the rising tensions between Israel and Iran. He pointed out that the International Atomic Energy Agency, which monitors Iran's nuclear activities, has not reported any signs indicating that Iran is pursuing a military nuclear program.

"We prefer to be guided by facts. In almost every country, there are politicians and parliamentarians who express positions that do not reflect the practical strategy or actual policies of their governments. We’ve seen this many times before,” Lavrov said.

He added, “If any plans or threats to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities are realized, it would indeed be a very serious provocation.”

The situation has escalated recently, especially after Iran launched up to 200 ballistic missiles toward Israeli military and intelligence bases. This was in response to the assassination of key figures linked to Hamas and Hezbollah.

While Israel has threatened retaliation, Iranian officials have made it clear that any response to Israeli actions will be harsh, proportional, and well-calculated.

This ongoing conflict highlights the delicate balance of power in the region and raises concerns about further escalation.
