Pumpkin: several small or medium-sized ones
White rice: 100 grams
Brown rice (optional): 100 grams
Split peas: half a cup
Onion: 1 large, chopped
Dolma herbs: a handful
Sliced almonds: 50 grams
Tomato paste: 1 tablespoon
Dried cherries: 50 grams
Chicken stock: 2 cups
Apple: 1, chopped
White vinegar: 2 tablespoons
Garlic: 1 clove, grated
Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons
Salt and pepper: to taste
Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
Mixed spices: 1 teaspoon
Brown sugar: 2 tablespoons
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Toast the almonds in a pan for a few minutes and set them aside.
Once the oven is preheated, place the pumpkins whole in the oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until they become soft. Then, let them cool. Afterward, scoop out the inside with a spoon.
While the pumpkins are in the oven, heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until they become translucent.
