SAEDNEWS: Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, sent a message to the new chief of Hamas Resistance Movement Yahya Sinwar.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent message, Velayati extended his congratulations to Yahya Sinwar on his appointment as the new leader of the Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas. He also took a moment to honor the memory of Ismail Haniyeh, the former chief of Hamas, acknowledging his significant contributions to the Palestinian cause and his steadfast efforts in the fight against the Zionist regime.
Velayati emphasized that Sinwar's selection as chief signifies the ongoing commitment of Palestinian resistance leaders to combat the oppressive Zionist regime and to pursue the liberation of Al-Quds with renewed determination. He underscored that the commitment to resistance remains unwavering and endless.
Expressing optimism for the future, Velayati hoped the world would soon witness the liberation of Palestine and the downfall of the Zionist regime.
Hamas announced Sinwar's leadership following the tragic assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. According to a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed when their residence was targeted on July 31. The IRGC claimed that the assassination was orchestrated by the Zionist regime, with support from the U.S. government.
In response to this act of aggression, prominent Iranian officials vowed to hold the Zionist regime accountable. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, stated that the assassination of Haniyeh has set the stage for a severe response against Israel.
