In his response, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed special thanks to the entire support community in Iran, which includes the athletes, their coaches, managers, and the national Olympic committee. Iran's participation in the Paris Olympics saw a contingent of 40 athletes, who collectively secured an impressive 21st place on the medal table.
