Iraqi Resistance Issues Warning to U.S. Regarding Airspace Use Against Iran

According to SAEDNEWS, In a decisive statement on Monday, the Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee issued a stern warning regarding continued foreign aggression.

“As the forces of arrogance continue their brutal and treacherous attacks against nations and their Resistance combatants, they persist in their support and protection of the security of the Zionist entity at the expense of the security of the region, without regard for the sovereignty of Iraq or the nations rejecting their criminal policies,” the Iraqi Resistance statement said.

The committee further emphasized that their patience has limits. “The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee is not bound by any restrictions. If the American occupation forces once again target our sons in Iraq or exploit its airspace to carry out attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran, our response will have no limits,” the statement added, as reported by PressTV.

Calls for the withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq have been growing for over a decade, especially following the US-led invasion, which was widely criticized as a violation of international law based on unfounded claims of weapons of mass destruction.

Currently, around 2,500 American troops are stationed in Iraq, while approximately 900 are in Syria, allegedly as part of a coalition fighting against Daesh. Despite the defeat of the terrorist group by local forces in late 2017, the US military presence has remained.

In a pivotal move in 2020, the Iraqi parliament voted in favor of expelling foreign forces from the country after a US drone strike killed General Qassem Soleimani, Iran's top anti-terror commander, along with the PMU's deputy commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis near Baghdad International Airport.

In recent months, the Iraqi Resistance has escalated its operations, targeting vital assets of the Israeli regime in cities like Eilat and Haifa, including attacks against airports and oil refineries. Additionally, collaborative efforts with Yemeni forces against Israeli ports and Israel-linked ships have intensified in light of the ongoing conflict in the besieged Gaza Strip.
