SAEDNEWS: The Islamic Republic of Iran would not let the Israeli regime's dream of forming a regional war come true, the top Iranian diplomat says.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Iran's Interim Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani revealed that he has been actively discussing the "brutal Israeli actions" in the region with his counterparts from Indonesia, Belgium, and the Netherlands. He emphasized Iran's commitment to "defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity" while working to thwart what he described as the Israeli regime's ambitions to spark a regional conflict.
Earlier this August, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the chief commander of the Iranian Army, asserted that the Israeli regime recognizes its accelerated decline. He stated that the Zionists are resorting to desperate measures in an attempt to slow down their impending collapse, warning that they will ultimately fail and that the world will witness the downfall of the "criminal Israeli regime."
The backdrop to these discussions includes the recent assassination of prominent Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards, who were killed when their residence was targeted in Tehran on July 31. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) condemned this act, characterizing it as "designed and implemented by the Zionist regime" and supported by the "criminal government of America."
In response to the assassination, high-ranking Iranian officials have made it clear that there will be consequences for the Israeli actions. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated that the killing of Ismail Haniyeh has set the stage for "harsh punishment" for Israel.
Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the political adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, also took to X, outlining that preparations have been made to deliver severe repercussions to a regime that only comprehends the "language of force." He pointed out that the killings of civilians in Gaza, such as those at the Al-Tabin school, alongside the assassination of Haniyeh, serve the Israeli regime's goal of inciting war and thwarting ceasefire negotiations.
According to Shamkhani, comprehensive plans for holding the Israeli regime accountable have been put in motion, incorporating legal, diplomatic, and media strategies. As tensions continue to rise in the region, Iran remains steadfast in its stance against what it perceives as aggressive actions by Israel.
