Iran's UN Mission Denies Allegations Tying It to Oct. 7 Operation

According to SAEDNEWS, Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York has firmly rejected recent allegations that link the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation to the Islamic Republic. The mission emphasized that these claims lack credibility.

The officials at Iran's UN mission pointed out that Hamas officials based in Doha have stated they had no prior knowledge of the operation. They clarified that all planning and decision-making were undertaken solely by Hamas’s military wing in Gaza. The mission stated, "Any claim attempting to link it to Iran or Hezbollah -- either partially or wholly -- is devoid of credence and comes from fabricated documents."

This statement comes after reports from American media outlets, including The New York Times, which claimed to have obtained documents from the Israeli military concerning Hamas's planning of the October 7 operation. The Times suggested that their review of the documents indicated that Hamas had planned the operation for some time and had consulted with Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah for support.

In response to an allegation by the Washington Post regarding an Israeli document that supposedly showed a Hamas request for $500 million from Iran, the Iranian Mission also issued a firm rebuttal. They dismissed the Washington Post's claims, calling the document a product of "Zionist regime’s lies and deception."

Iran continues to deny any involvement in the operation and seeks to clarify its position amidst ongoing media speculation.
