Iran Launches Research Satellite, Calls for Respect Amid Sanctions

According to SAEDNEWS, ###

TEHRAN, Sep. 15 - The Iranian Embassy in London is urging other nations to treat Iran with respect and to move away from using "the language of sanctions." This statement comes in the wake of Iran's successful launch of the Chamran 1 research satellite into orbit.

The announcement was made on the embassy's official X account, celebrating a significant achievement for Iran's engineers in the field of space technology. The embassy highlighted that the launch signifies a major step forward for Iran's space program.

In their statement, the embassy reflected on a time when Iran struggled to obtain defense technology from other countries. They emphasized, “The era when Iran sought missiles from others for defense has passed.”

Despite the existing sanctions, the embassy pointed out that Iran is now capable of producing advanced rockets and successfully launching satellites. “It’s time to address Iran with respect, not through words of sanctions,” the statement added.

The Chamran 1 satellite was launched aboard the Qaem-100 satellite carrier, a solid-fueled space launch vehicle. It was successfully placed into a 550 km orbit and has begun sending signals back to Earth.

The satellite was designed and constructed by Iranian engineers at the space division of Iran Electronics Industries (Sairan). The project also involved contributions from specialists at the Aerospace Research Institute (ARI) and various private companies.

This successful launch marks a proud moment for Iran’s advancements in aerospace technology and continues to bolster its position in the international space arena.
