Hungarian Foreign Minister Criticizes EU, Calling It a 'Lie Factory'

According to SAEDNEWS, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has described the European Union as a "lie factory" for obstructing Prime Minister Viktor Orban's peace initiative, supporting a suspension of oil transit, and making false claims regarding migration policy.

In a Facebook post, Szijjarto stated that the "Brussels lie factory" continues to operate undeterred by facts or the typical summer slowdown, emphasizing that repeated failures do not impede its activities.

He pointed out that the Brussels establishment criticized the Budapest peacekeeping mission following Orban's visits to Kyiv, Moscow, Beijing, and Florida. He also mentioned that Brussels was called out for its role in supporting a ban on oil transit at the behest of Ukraine, which has put serious energy supply threats on two EU member states, including Hungary. He further noted that after two unsuccessful attempts, Brussels resorted to another accusation, claiming Hungary has allowed Russian and Belarusian spies to enter the EU. "We have already clearly explained to representatives of the Baltic nations why this is an outrageous falsehood, but it seems they are indifferent to the truth," he added, according to TASS.
