Chicken or red meat: 600 grams
Onion: 1
Thick yogurt: ½ cup
Mayonnaise: 1 tablespoon
Garlic: 3 cloves
Pomegranate paste: 2 tablespoons
Fresh lemon: 1
Pita bread: 4
Pickles: 8
Tomato: 1
Lettuce: 4 leaves
Butter: 100 grams
Salt and black pepper: to taste
Thyme and paprika: to taste
Turmeric and oil: to taste
First, cut the onion into thick slices and place it in a suitable bowl. Then, grate 2 cloves of garlic and add them to the bowl along with vegetable oil, lemon juice, yogurt, salt, black pepper, thyme, and paprika.
Now, mix the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly until they are well combined. Next, slice the red meat or chicken into thin strips and add them to the onion and yogurt mixture, mixing everything well.
Now, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow the meat to marinate. After an hour, remove the meat from the refrigerator, heat a pan over medium heat, and add the butter.
Next, take the meat pieces out of the marinade and fry them in the butter. While frying the meat, mix the mayonnaise with 3 tablespoons of yogurt. Grate the remaining garlic and add it to the mixture.
Once the meat is fully cooked, place the pita breads on a flat surface and spread some pomegranate paste evenly over each one. Then, place the cooked pieces of chicken or red meat on the bread.
Pour the sauce made from the mayonnaise and yogurt mixture over the meat. Then, chop the tomato, cucumber, and lettuce, and place an appropriate amount on each pita bread. Finally, roll the breads into wraps and serve.
