Hezbollah's Nasrallah: Iran and Hezbollah Prepared to Respond to Israel, But Will Proceed with Caution

According to SAEDNEWS, Hezbollah held a poignant ceremony in Beirut’s Dahiyeh to honor the memory of the late commander Sayyed Fuad Shokr, exactly one week after his martyrdom. The event featured a powerful speech delivered by the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah.

In his address, Nasrallah began by stating, "We gather today to pay tribute to a man who remained steadfast in his commitment to Allah." He took a moment to mock the sonic booms created by Israeli warplanes flying over Beirut, asserting that the martyrdom of Fuad Shokr represents a significant loss, but emphasizing that this tragedy will not deter Hezbollah in any way.

Describing Martyr Shokr as a key figure with a strategic mind, Nasrallah recalled Shokr’s leadership of the operations chamber during the 2006 conflict and his instrumental role in the liberation victory of 2000. He acknowledged the magnitude of this loss but assured that it would not weaken their resolve. “While the loss of Fuad Shokr is profound, it does not shake us,” he affirmed.

Nasrallah went on to address the current situation in Gaza, stating, “Recent developments reveal the true agenda of Netanyahu’s extremist regime: the uprooting of the Palestinians.” He criticized Netanyahu’s refusal to consider a ceasefire and his aggressive stance toward Palestinian casualties. The Hezbollah leader highlighted Israel's aspirations to annex the West Bank, claiming that it dismisses the existence of Palestinians altogether.

He further noted that the Israeli state is circumventing the Oslo Accords in its quest to displace Palestinians from the West Bank. He remarked on Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights and Lebanon’s Shebaa Farms as steps toward completing their territorial aspirations from the river to the sea.

According to Nasrallah, Netanyahu seeks to fully dominate Gaza and establish total control over its security. He drew attention to the United States’ arms supplies to Israel, asserting this is indicative of U.S. hypocrisy and Israel’s inability to defend itself, as evidenced by Iran’s Operation True Promise. “Israel is not as powerful as it once was, and its military prestige has significantly diminished,” he stated.

He warned that the destruction of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Palestine could be imminent should Gaza’s resistance falter. He also noted Israel's fear of repercussions from Iran and Hezbollah, which drives its appeal to the West for support. He highlighted the rising tension in the West Bank and the backlash following recent assassinations of key figures.

Nasrallah urged Arab nations to recognize the escalating threat posed by Zionism in the region. He remarked that the assassination of Martyr Shokr and Haniyeh serves as a victory for the Zionists but has actually complicated their position.

While affirming Hezbollah's and Iran's capability to respond to Israeli actions, he emphasized the need for caution. He pointed out that “Israel” is now precariously positioned in fear of potential retaliation from Iran and Hezbollah, underlining that a response to the assassination of Martyr Shokr is forthcoming and inevitable.

He concluded by asserting that the Israeli threat cannot be confronted with fear or indecision, calling upon all Muslims to embrace their responsibilities. He reiterated, “Israel is the root cause of the current escalation," and assured that the battlefield will reveal Hezbollah’s response in due time.
