According to SAEDNEWS, The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Palestinian nation, as well as to all Arab, Islamic, and international countries, governments, delegations, and individuals who offered condolences following the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the Chief of the Political Bureau, and his bodyguard, Wasim Abu Shaaban.
Ismail Haniyeh and his bodyguard were tragically killed in their residence in Tehran early last Wednesday. According to a statement from the public relations office of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), their residence was targeted in the attack.
The motivations behind this assault are currently under investigation, and further details are expected to be released shortly.
Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, on Tuesday, July 30.
