Milk: 1 cup
Butter: 25 grams
Salt: A pinch
All-purpose flour: 1 tablespoon
First, take the butter and milk out of the refrigerator to bring them to room temperature. In a small pan, add the all-purpose flour and heat it over low heat, stirring constantly to toast the flour until the raw smell disappears. Then, place the butter in a milk warmer and heat it over low heat until it melts gradually. Add the toasted flour to the butter and sprinkle a little salt on it. Mix them well until the butter and flour combine, and the mixture takes on a caramel-like color.
Next, gradually add the milk while continuously stirring the mixture until all the milk is incorporated. Once the sauce thickens, remove the milk warmer from the heat and set it aside to cool. For extra flavor, you can add a little cream at the end when the sauce has thickened.
Onions: 2
Garlic cloves: 2
Lasagna sheets: 1 pack
Mushrooms: 100 grams
Pizza cheese: 150 grams
Bell pepper: 1
Vegetable oil: As needed
Thyme powder: As needed
Ground meat: 400 grams
Salt and black pepper: As needed
Tomato paste: 2 tablespoons
The first thing you need to do is preheat the oven to 180°C. Then, wash the bell pepper, cut it into small squares, and place it on a plate. Next, clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth, rinse them quickly, and slice them. Set them aside. Peel the onions, rinse them, and chop them finely on a cutting board. Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat, and sauté the onions until they soften. While the onions are turning golden, peel, wash, and chop the garlic, then add it to the onions and continue sautéing.
Once the garlic and onions are browned, add the ground meat to the pan and sauté until the meat changes color and browns slightly. Add the mushrooms, reduce the heat, and allow them to cook until they release their water and it evaporates. Then, add the chopped bell pepper to the pan and sauté, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Finally, add the tomato paste, sprinkle thyme powder over the mixture, and stir well until everything is combined. Add about 1 cup of water to the pan and cook until the meat is fully cooked and the water evaporates. Turn off the heat.
In a separate bowl, fill it with warm water, and soak the lasagna sheets in the water for 3 minutes to soften them. Grease a baking dish with a kitchen brush and spread a layer of your prepared sauce at the bottom. Place one sheet of lasagna in the dish, then add the meat mixture on top. Use the back of a spoon to evenly spread the mixture on the lasagna sheet, being careful not to overfill, as this will cause the filling to spill out when slicing the lasagna. It is better to have more layers of lasagna.
After spreading the meat mixture, add a layer of sauce on top, followed by a layer of pizza cheese. Continue layering with lasagna sheets, meat mixture, sauce, and cheese, repeating the process as many times as desired. For the final layer, place a lasagna sheet and cover it completely with the sauce, then cover with a generous amount of cheese. This will help keep the lasagna from drying out. For decoration, drizzle a bit of ketchup or red sauce over the top of the cheese, then bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes until the lasagna is cooked.
You can add other vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, corn, etc., either instead of or along with fresh parsley.
The onions used in the filling should be finely chopped or grated.
Prepare the meat mixture with as little oil as possible. Also, use lean or low-fat ground meat.
For each layer, use a small amount of the meat mixture and cheese. The amount of cheese on the top layer should be generous and completely cover the lasagna.
