BTS' Suga Apologizes for DUI Incident: Promises to Exercise Greater Caution Moving Forward

According to SAEDNEWS, Reported by Soompi In a heartfelt message to fans, BTS member Suga, also known as Min Yoon-gi, addressed the recent DUI charges he faced. Taking to Weverse on the morning of August 7, he expressed his regret following an incident that has understandably disappointed many.

"I am very heavy-hearted and apologetic to bring you disappointing news," Suga wrote. He detailed the circumstances surrounding the incident: "After drinking at a dinner last night, I rode an electric scooter home."

Suga further explained that his actions stemmed from a complacent mindset. "I violated the Road Traffic Act due to my complacent thinking that it was a short distance and my failure to recognize that using an electric scooter while intoxicated was prohibited."

Regrettably, the situation escalated when he fell while parking the scooter outside his residence. A nearby police officer conducted a breathalyzer test, resulting in the cancellation of his license and a fine. "Although there were no victims or damaged property in this process, it is entirely my responsibility without any excuse," the 31-year-old artist shared.

"I apologize to everyone hurt by my careless and wrong actions, and I will be more careful in the future to prevent such incidents from occurring again," he assured his fans and supporters.

Furthermore, Suga is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service as a social service agent, and his agency, BIGHIT Music, confirmed that he will face "appropriate disciplinary actions from his workplace." This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of responsibility and the consequences of our actions.
