Gilan Province is one of the greenest and rainiest provinces in Iran, attracting many tourists with its abundant natural attractions. Rudbar County, located south of Rasht, spans 2,574 square kilometers and is the second-largest county in Gilan by area. The central district of Rudbar includes the cities of Rostamabad, Rudbar, Manjil, Lowshan, and the village of Kalashtar. The Salansar summer resort is part of this central district.
