8 chicken wings
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Dry bread crumbs or grated Parmesan cheese (as needed)
1 teaspoon thyme
Salt and black pepper (as needed)
1/3 cup sesame seeds
1 egg
Oil (as needed)
Separate the upper part of the wings and set it aside. Take the remaining part (the chicken wing arm) in one hand and, with the other hand, use a sharp knife to pull the meat down from the top.
Mix cornstarch, dry breadcrumbs or Parmesan cheese, thyme, salt, pepper, and sesame seeds, then place the mixture on a plate.
In another bowl, beat the egg with a fork.
First, dip the wings into the beaten egg, then coat them in the flour mixture. Repeat this process twice.
Pour oil into a deep pan and heat it until it’s hot enough.
