How to Make Homemade Low-Fat Sausages!

Sausages are one of the most popular meat products, commonly used in fast food dishes like bandari sausages and mixed pizzas. Many people avoid store-bought sausages because they are unsure about their quality and safety. By making sausages at home using fresh ingredients, you can safely enjoy this delicious food in a variety of recipes. Follow this step-by-step guide from Saed News to learn how to prepare healthy homemade sausages.

Healthy Cauliflower Sausages

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium sautéed onion

  • 150 g chopped cauliflower

  • 100 ml chicken broth

  • 1 egg

  • A pinch of thyme

  • A little olive oil for sautéing

  • 1 tablespoon onion

Instructions:

  1. Wash the chicken, remove the skin, and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut into 1–2 cm pieces.

  2. Chop the cauliflower in a food processor.

  3. Sauté the onion and cauliflower in olive oil over heat until translucent. (Optionally, steam and puree the cauliflower separately and sauté the onion alone.)

  4. Add the chicken and vegetables to the food processor.

  5. Add the egg, salt, pepper, and other seasonings, and blend until smooth.

  6. To shape the sausages, use sausage-making plastic casings. Fill the casings with the prepared mixture, twist both ends, and tie with kitchen twine.

  7. Place the sausages in a pot of boiling water and cook according to thickness:

    • Thin sausages: 15 minutes

    • Medium sausages: 20–25 minutes

    • Thick sausages: 45–50 minutes

  8. Drain the sausages, let them cool, and remove the plastic casing before serving.
