How to Make Delicious Ice Cream Pudding ✅

Ferni is one of the healthy and traditional Iranian foods or snacks. It is quick and easy to prepare, and with the simplest ingredients, you can make a delicious appetizer or dessert. It is generally considered a food that is easy to digest, suitable for children and even for those who are fasting. Many people prepare ferni for Iftar and Suhoor and enjoy eating it. Almost everyone is familiar with rice flour ferni and how to make it. Previously, we’ve also shared methods for preparing and decorating various types of ferni.

In this post, however, we want to introduce a delicious dessert called Ice Cream Ferni. By preparing and serving it, you can enjoy a nutritious and unique dessert while adding new and special flavors to your diet. Don’t forget, the different ferni decoration techniques can also be applied to this molded version.


Ingredients for Ice Cream Ferni

  • 200 g vanilla ice cream

  • 11 tablespoons sugar

  • A pinch of vanilla

  • 7 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 3 heaping tablespoons gelatin powder

  • 2 tablespoons rosewater

  • 3 cups milk

  • 3 tablespoons breakfast cream


Method

  1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, ice cream, and milk together. Place over low heat, stirring continuously until it thickens slightly.

  2. Once slightly thickened, remove from heat and add gelatin powder that has been dissolved in a little milk using a double boiler method.

  3. When the mixture cools slightly, add vanilla, rosewater, and cream. Stir until smooth.

  4. Pour into a greased mold and refrigerate until set (about 3 hours minimum).


Tips

  • If you prefer, you can use chocolate or fruit ice cream instead of saffron ice cream.

  • You can also make multicolored ferni. For this, mix part of the ferni with saffron and another part with cocoa.
