SAEDNEWS: In a blistering social-media rebuke, hardline conservative activist Mohammad Mohajeri publicly urged the head of Iran’s passive air defense agency to step down—arguing that his office has been conspicuously absent during critical moments of the conflict.
According to Saed News, conservative political activist Mohammad Mohajeri took to X (formerly Twitter) to lambaste Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali, commander of Iran’s Passive Air Defense Organization. In a terse open letter posted on Saturday, Mohajeri wrote:
“Dear Mr. Jalali, head of the Passive Air Defense Organization:
During the toughest days of the war, neither you nor your agency was visible. Now that your presence—or absence—makes no difference, please resign and return to whatever obscurity you occupied before. And now that you have surfaced, is your only talent reduced to cursing at WhatsApp? Don’t be tired, brother.”
Mohajeri’s tweet—viewed over 20,000 times within hours—underscores rising frustration over repeated drone and missile incursions along Iran’s borders, which critics say Tehran’s air defenses have failed to deter. Observers note that Jalali’s office, charged with early-warning systems and civilian air-protection measures, has drawn relatively little public scrutiny—until this searing public challenge.
While Iran’s military spokespeople have yet to respond, Mohajeri’s remarks have ignited debate on social media, with some conservatives echoing calls for accountability and others accusing him of grandstanding. Analysts suggest that his public challenge reflects broader hardline unease with perceived lapses in national security.
As pressure mounts on Iran’s defense leadership, all eyes will be on whether Brigadier General Jalali issues a rebuttal or, as Mohajeri demands, tenders his resignation. For continuing coverage of Iran’s political and security developments, follow Saed News.
