SAEDNEWS: The US president slammed Cuba, calling it on the brink of collapse, and described military operations in Colombia—similar to those in Venezuela—as “very good.”
According to SaedNews Politics, Donald Trump, in a tense speech repeating claims and threats, said, “Cuba is ready to fall,” but added that military action might not be necessary. At the same time, the U.S. president again accused Colombian President Gustavo Petro of involvement in cocaine production and did not rule out operations against him. On Venezuela, he called it a “dead country,” spoke of Nicolás Maduro’s arrest by U.S. forces and his immediate surrender, claimed the U.S. is currently running the country, and stressed the priority of establishing “law and order” before holding elections. Trump also mentioned American oil companies’ interest in investing in Venezuela’s infrastructure. He claimed these actions would not significantly affect relations with China, expressed hope for a resolution in Ukraine, and once again emphasized Greenland’s strategic importance—prompting sharp reactions from Denmark and provocative posts from figures close to the MAGA movement.

Donald Trump, U.S. president, made threats toward other countries, claiming Cuba is ready to fall.
According to ISNA, having recently led aggressive actions against Venezuela, he told reporters, “Cuba is ready to fall. It seems Cuba is ready to fall.”

However, Trump expressed doubts about the need for action against Cuba, saying, “I think [Cuba] will fall. I don’t think we need to do anything.”
Trump also noted that he is considering operations against Colombia’s president, accusing him of cocaine production.
The U.S. president, who previously accused Gustavo Petro of involvement in cocaine production, did not rule out operations against him.
Speaking to reporters, he claimed: “Colombia is also very sick, run by a sick man who likes to produce cocaine and sell it to the United States, and he won’t do this for long, let me tell you. He has cocaine factories.”
Trump added that the idea of military operations in Colombia, similar to Venezuela, “sounds very good.”
Trump Calls Venezuela a “Dead Country”
While Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela’s president, is reportedly in U.S. custody in New York, Trump called Venezuela a “dead country” and noted that the United States must bring it back to life.

He told reporters: “Venezuela is currently a dead country. We have to bring it back.”
Trump also claimed that the United States is now running Venezuela.
After Maduro’s arrest, the U.S. president said that the United States is currently running Venezuela and that there is no need to ask him about it.
Asked who is currently running Venezuela, Trump said: “Don’t ask me who is responsible, because I’ll tell you and it will be very controversial: We are responsible.”
Trump on Potential Venezuelan Elections
Trump also addressed the likelihood of elections in Venezuela, telling the New York Post that the country must first be governed by law and order.
Responding to questions about elections in Venezuela after Maduro’s capture by U.S. forces, he said: “We have to govern the country with law and order. We have to run a country so that we can benefit from its economy—the valuable oil and other resources.”
In his view, holding elections in a country on the brink of economic collapse is secondary. He added: “This country is ready—it has literally become a third-world country ready to fail.”
He also claimed that opposition candidates still lack enough support to win. Trump said elections in Venezuela will be held at the right time. He again claimed the country is bankrupt and has no money.
Trump Claims Maduro Surrendered Immediately
The U.S. president also claimed that Nicolás Maduro “immediately” surrendered to U.S. forces at the time of his arrest.
He told reporters: “Maduro immediately surrendered, raised his hands, surrendered, and did the right thing.”
He also said several American soldiers injured in U.S. operations in Venezuela are “in good condition.”
Trump described the U.S. military operation to capture Maduro as highly violent: “We were very effective, and this operation was very fast and violent. Very violent, but we were very effective.”
Venezuelan Operations Will Not Affect China
Trump also claimed that his actions in Venezuela will not affect relations with China, even though the international community condemned his aggression as a violation of a sovereign country and international norms.

He said the military operation would not affect relations with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, even though Beijing condemned Washington’s moves against Caracas.
Asked if Maduro’s arrest by U.S. forces would affect relations with Xi, Trump said: “I don’t think so. I have a very good relationship. We have the power to impose tariffs, and he has other powers over us.”
U.S. Military Presence in Venezuela
Asked whether American forces would remain in Venezuela, Trump said: “It depends on what happens. It also depends a little on the new government, if you want to call it that.”
He also claimed that American oil companies are eager to work in Venezuela and will invest in the country’s infrastructure: “Major investments by oil companies [will come to Venezuela] to revive the infrastructure. Companies are ready to go. They are going.”
Previously, Trump reportedly told U.S. oil companies that if they want compensation from Venezuela, they must first invest billions there.

Russia and Ukraine Will “Eventually” Reach an Agreement
Trump also addressed developments in the Ukraine war, saying he is confident Russia and Ukraine “will eventually” reach an agreement.

He, who previously said he would resolve the Ukraine issue within 100 days if re-elected, told reporters: “I think we will reach an agreement eventually, I hope it’s not too far away. I have not set a deadline for resolving the Ukraine conflict.”
EU and Greenland Security Goals
Meanwhile, Trump claimed that the European Union apparently needs U.S. ownership of Greenland for national security.
He told reporters: “We need Greenland for national security, and the European Union needs us to have it.”
He also repeated claims that Chinese and Russian ships are allegedly surrounding the Danish island.
However, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen issued a firm statement urging the U.S. to end what she described as “threats against one of America’s closest allies.” The autonomous territory, part of the Danish kingdom, has increasingly drawn U.S. attention due to its strategic location and natural resources.
Frederiksen’s statement reinforces Denmark’s position and reflects ongoing diplomatic discussions between the two countries over Greenland’s status.
Following U.S. aggression in Venezuela, figures close to the MAGA movement openly celebrated the operation and shifted focus toward Greenland.

According to The Guardian, shortly after the U.S. operation in Venezuela, right-wing U.S. podcaster Kati Miller posted a provocative image of Greenland covered with the U.S. flag, captioned: “Coming soon.”
Miller is married to Stephen Miller, a powerful former Trump aide in the White House policy office. The post drew immediate and strong reactions in Denmark, heightening concerns about Trump’s Greenland ambitions.
