SAEDNEWS: The heads of Iran’s three branches of government held a meeting on Saturday evening to discuss the recent surge in foreign currency rates against the Iranian rial.
The regular Saturday meeting of the heads of Iran’s three branches of power was hosted by President Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the executive branch, alongside Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Judiciary Chief Gholmhossein Mohseni-Ejei.
The top officials discussed the recent surge in foreign currency prices against the Iranian rial. They emphasized the need to strengthen the supply of foreign currencies in the market and manage its demand.
They also reaffirmed the full authority of the Central Bank to regulate and supervise the cryptocurrency market in accordance with the Central Bank Law.
