SAEDNEWS: Iranian MP Ebrahim Azizi dismissed European efforts to trigger the JCPOA “snapback” as legally and politically invalid, warning that any hostile action against Iran will meet an immediate and firm response.
According to Saed News Agency, quoting ISNA, on Sunday, 2 Shahrivar, Ebrahim Azizi, speaking to reporters in Shiraz regarding European moves to activate the so-called “snapback” mechanism, emphasized that this baseless tactic holds no legal or political legitimacy against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Europeans have no authority to invoke it.
He stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs implements the overarching policies of the system and the parliament’s resolutions. The European trio, by blatantly violating their commitments and blindly following the United States, not only lacks legitimacy to use JCPOA mechanisms but must also answer for their breaches of obligations.
Azizi warned that instead of political threats and displays, these countries should fulfill their delayed commitments, as any reckless, hostile, or irresponsible action against Iran will undoubtedly be considered open hostility toward the Iranian nation and will face an immediate and decisive response from the Islamic Republic.
The Shiraz and Zarqan parliamentary representative concluded by emphasizing that the Iranian nation has never bowed to bullying or extortion and will never do so; counteractions and deterrent measures against any hostile move are the nation’s legitimate and non-negotiable right.
