• “Ugly Dress” Tradition: Two months before the wedding, the bride wears unattractive clothes to surprise everyone with her beauty on the wedding day.

• Henna Week: Celebrated over several days, this includes presenting the dowry, traditional baths, henna and “harqous” designs on the bride’s hands and feet, music, dance, and family gatherings. Different regions have variations in rituals, clothing, and ceremonies.

Wedding Day: The bride and groom are prepared with beauty treatments and wear traditional attire—white in the north, red with gold and jewels in the south.
