Judiciary Legal Center To Document Israeli War crimes Against Iran: Director

The head of the Judiciary’s Legal Center for Attorneys, Official Experts and Family Counselors says Iran will use all domestic and international capacities to restore the nation’s rights in the wake of the recent Israeli aggression.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with IRNA on Sunday, Hassan Abdoliyanpour stressed the need to document the Israeli regime’s war crimes, saying the center aims to undertake this task in cooperation with other Iranian institutions.

He described the actions of the Israeli regime during the 12-day war as acts of aggression and cited Article 1 of U.N. General Assembly Resolution 3314, which defines aggression as the use of armed force by one state against the sovereignty, territorial integrity, or political independence of another state in a manner inconsistent with the U.N. Charter.

Abdoliyanpour argued that based on international law, the Islamic Republic of Iran had the right to defend itself and respond to the aggression, a right it exercised and would continue to exercise if similar acts were repeated.

He added that any documentation of the war crimes committed by the Israeli regime and the U.S. government during the 12-day imposed war must bear the seal of official judicial experts.

“We have sent a letter to the Judiciary chief expressing our readiness to assist in this documentation process for submission to domestic and international courts,” he added.

Israel attacked Iran in an unprovoked act of aggression on June 13, assassinating military commanders and nuclear scientists in targeted strikes, and killing civilians in air raids on residential areas. The war was halted after the Tel Aviv regime requested a ceasefire following retaliatory missile strikes by Iran.
