SAEDNEWS: The United States has reacted to the martyrdom of the political bureau of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
According to SAEDNEWS, The White House has acknowledged reports regarding the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh but has chosen not to comment further on the matter.
According to a statement from the IRGC, Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed when their residence in Tehran was attacked.
"With deep sorrow for the courageous people of Palestine, the Islamic community, the fighters of the Resistance Front, and the honorable nation of Iran, we confirm that this morning (Wednesday), the residence of Dr. Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas political office, was targeted in Tehran, resulting in the martyrdom of both him and one of his bodyguards," the statement reported.
An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
Mousa Abu Marzook, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, has vowed to seek revenge for the murder of Haniyeh, asserting that this cowardly assassination will not go unanswered.
