SAEDNEWS: The third summit of BRICS senior energy experts was held in the Russian capital of Moscow in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to SAEDNEWS, The third summit of BRICS energy ministers took place in Moscow, bringing together senior energy experts from member countries, including representatives from Iran's Ministry of Energy.
The summit is attended by key figures such as Iman Rahmati, the Director of Supervision and Control of the Electricity Market at Iran Electricity Network Management Company, Mehrdad Eghlimi, Director General of the Foreign Trade Department of TAVANIR, and Abdolsaheb Arjmand, Director General for Transmission and Distribution Affairs at the Ministry of Energy.
The event is scheduled for September 24-25, focusing on two main issues: the approval of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and BRICS Research Arm (ERCP), as well as finalizing a statement from the energy ministers.
The energy ministers and their representatives are expected to approve the final text of the statement on September 26.
In addition to these discussions, the summit features activities like the BRICS Youth Energy Agency and collaboration in energy research, with active participation from Iranian representatives.
A statement from the Kremlin mentioned that delegates from various countries will engage in talks about the current state and future of the global energy sector, emphasizing digital transformation, efficiency improvements, and environmental safety. Additionally, a specialized exhibition showcasing equipment and technology for the energy sector is set to attract significant interest.
