According to SAEDNEWS, An aide to Iran's foreign minister has reiterated the country's commitment to regional peace and stability while opposing any changes to internationally recognized borders and the existing geopolitical situation.
Mojtaba Demirchilou made these remarks during a meeting with Russian Ambassador Alexey Dedov in Tehran on Monday evening. He emphasized the importance of considering the interests and legitimate concerns of all countries in the region.
Both diplomats discussed the current developments in the Caucasus and highlighted the need for respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity. They agreed that these principles are essential for ensuring lasting peace and cooperation among countries.
Demirchilou and Dedov also stressed the importance of leveraging the resources and capacities of regional nations to resolve conflicts and promote stability. They believe this approach will help implement economic plans while respecting the interests of all parties involved.
Additionally, the two officials talked about the upcoming meeting of the "3+3" consultative format. This format includes Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, along with Russia, Turkey, and Iran, and aims to address issues related to security and the development of economic and transport links in the region.
