SAEDNEWS: Iranian and Irish foreign ministers stressed in a phone on Monday the necessity of stopping the Israeli regime's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
According to SAEDNEWS, The foreign ministers of Iran and Ireland spoke by phone on Monday to stress the urgent need to stop the ongoing war in Gaza. They described the Israeli actions in the region as genocidal.
During the conversation, Micheál Martin, Ireland's foreign minister, congratulated Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on becoming Iran's new foreign minister. He expressed deep concern over the rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly in Lebanon. Martin called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a prisoner exchange to enable aid to reach the people suffering there.
Araghchi thanked Martin for his congratulations and expressed hope for stronger relations between Iran and Ireland based on mutual respect. He reaffirmed Iran’s support for any ceasefire that is acceptable to Hamas and the Palestinian people. He emphasized the need to immediately halt the violence against the people of Gaza.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran aims to reduce tensions in the region," Araghchi stated. "However, Netanyahu and the Israeli regime are trying to spread violence, affecting areas like the West Bank. It is crucial for everyone to work effectively to stop the violence in Gaza."
The two foreign ministers also discussed other important issues, including ongoing negotiations related to the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) and the crisis in Ukraine, and emphasized the importance of continued political dialogue between their countries.
