  • Dark chocolate (optional): 50 g

  • Caramel: 400 g

  • Whipped cream: 75 ml

Ingredients for the Tart Dough

  • Butter: 250 g

  • Powdered sugar: 65 g

  • Salt: 1/3 teaspoon

  • Vanilla essence: 1 teaspoon

  • Flour: 275 g

Preparation Steps

1. Prepare the Dough

  • Beat the butter with a mixer until creamy.

  • Add the powdered sugar and mix well.

  • Gradually add the flour, salt, and a few drops of vanilla essence. Continue mixing until the mixture forms a dough.

  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

2. Prepare the Tart Base

  • Grease a tart pan (26–28 cm in diameter).

  • Press the dough into the pan, spreading it evenly with your fingers. Trim any excess dough from the edges.

  • Place parchment paper over the dough and fill it with dried beans or pie weights.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (347°F) for about 25 minutes, or until the crust turns light brown.

  • Remove the tart base from the oven and allow it to cool for 30 minutes.

3. Prepare the Caramel Layer

  • Melt the caramel and whipped cream together using a double boiler (bain-marie) until smooth.

  • Pour the caramel mixture over the cooled tart base and let it set for about 15 minutes.

4. Prepare the Chocolate Layers

  • Melt the milk chocolate using a double boiler and pour it over the caramel layer. Use a spatula or spoon to spread it evenly.

  • Melt the dark chocolate (optional) using the same method and drizzle it over the top.

5. Final Steps

  • Let the tart sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  • Place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours to set completely.
