How to Make Butter Croissants:

Step 1:
To make delicious butter croissants, start by adding warm water, sugar, and yeast into a relatively large bowl. Stir a little and then add vegetable oil and salt. Now, sift the flour into the bowl.

Step 2:
Next, sift the flour three times and add it to the bowl. Knead well until the dough becomes soft and smooth. Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Step 3:
After this time, divide the dough into ten equal portions. Roll each portion with a rolling pin into the size of a plate on your working surface. Then, brush the dough with butter and sprinkle some cornstarch before stacking them on top of each other.

Step 4:
Now, without brushing the last layer with butter, place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour to rest. After this time, remove the dough from the fridge and place it on a floured surface.

Step 5:
Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a thin rectangle, then cut large triangles. Roll each triangle from the wide end and place them with a gap in between on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6:
Allow the dough to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes so that it doubles in size. 15 minutes before the resting time is over, preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F) so it is fully heated.

Step 7:
After this time, brush the croissants with a mixture of egg yolk and milk, then place the baking sheet in the middle rack of the oven. Let the croissants bake until fully cooked and golden brown. Enjoy!
