SAEDNEWS: The head of the Hamas Resistance movement in the occupied West Bank says Palestinians have the right to resist the occupying Israeli regime, and are resolved to continue the path of Resistance despite hardships
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent interview with Al Jazeera, Zaher Jabarin, the head of the Hamas movement in the occupied West Bank, emphasized that the Palestinian people are determined to resist the Israeli occupation. He stated that they have no other choice but to fight back, despite the difficult circumstances they face.
Jabarin highlighted that Palestinians are not intimidated by Israeli threats and are committed to their struggle. He asserted that they have the right to resist the occupation using any means necessary.
He described the situation surrounding the al-Aqsa mosque, which has seen incursions by extremist Israeli officials, as a “religious war.” Jabarin stated that the key conflict will revolve around al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, warning that any Israeli attempts to undermine this holy site will ultimately fail.
Jabarin specifically addressed Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, warning him that his actions could lead to a fate similar to that of Rehavam Ze'evi, an Israeli minister who was assassinated in 2001 due to his extremist actions.
Ben-Gvir recently joined a group of settlers in entering the al-Aqsa mosque compound, claiming it is his right to allow Jewish prayers there, despite a long-standing agreement that only Muslims can pray at this site.
Additionally, Ben-Gvir announced plans to build a Jewish synagogue within the al-Aqsa compound, sparking further tension.
Jabarin called upon Muslim scholars worldwide to defend al-Aqsa and urged Palestinians to remain united in their resistance against occupation during these tough times.
Regarding ceasefire talks in Gaza, Jabarin pointed fingers at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of wanting to prolong the conflict for personal gain. Netanyahu is facing multiple legal charges, which some believe influence his decisions.
These comments come as negotiations are ongoing in Egypt to establish a ceasefire in Gaza, where the situation has been dire. Since Israel began its military campaign on October 7, following Hamas's surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, thousands of Palestinians have lost their lives, and many have been injured. The violence has also extended to the West Bank, with growing incidents involving Israeli forces and settlers.
The ongoing conflict has sparked devastation and brought immense suffering to the Palestinian people, who continue to seek justice and their right to resist occupation.
