“In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
With heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God, the Creator of existence, who, on the night of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima Zahra (PBUH) and on the eve of Student Day, extended His guidance and, through trust and unwavering resolve, placed the heavy burden of service at Tabriz University on this servant of knowledge. I take this meaningful coincidence of combining religion and science as a good omen, and I bow before the Almighty, seeking His mercy for the esteemed scholars of Tabriz. While offering my condolences for the luminous era of Fatimiyya, I congratulate the students in advance on Student Day.
Dear scholars, after the recent unrest in selecting a leader for Tabriz University, now is the season of unity, empathy, solidarity, and peace, which undoubtedly strengthens the foundation of the university and the scientific power of Iran and Azerbaijan. We must strive under divine grace and from unity and empathy's light to recognize our duty to advance the university toward its goals and follow this path. Achieving this sublime ideal and great wish depends on our actions and thoughts. I ask the esteemed colleagues from Tabriz University to pursue motivated work and effort to overcome the university’s challenges and further this reputable scientific institution. Prioritizing critical projects should be at the forefront of our programs.
Dear ones! Solidarity, teamwork, and good intentions for the progress and increasing pride of Tabriz University is the foremost priority. It is fitting for us to turn competition into days of friendship and cooperation and strive for the prosperity and glory of Tabriz University. I thank each citizen, especially the scientific community of Tabriz and Azerbaijan, particularly the distinguished scientific figures and university elites who, with open hearts and good faith, expressed their trust in the honorable Minister of Science, Research, and Technology and regarded my appointment with love and kindness in virtual messages and personal meetings. I call upon myself and my university colleagues to rely on the Almighty God and look toward high horizons of development, following the path of sincere servants of the university over the past 80 years, using the university’s vast capacities. Safeguarding this public trust requires honesty, integrity, and truthfulness. Therefore, I will strive to be a good trustee and will not spare any effort for the development and progress of the university. We have started a new path for wide-ranging changes, and taking steps on this path will not be possible without the academic community’s support, including the esteemed faculty members, beloved students, and hardworking staff. I hope you will not leave me alone.
In conclusion, I invite everyone to observe religious devotion and adhere to the splendid path of the Islamic Revolution and the beautiful slogan of National Unity of the Fourteenth Service Government. I pray for the high ranks of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, the martyrs of the imposed war, and especially the honorable martyrs of Tabriz University. I request all friends and colleagues to observe frugality in carrying out their national duty and abstain from hanging banners, sending congratulatory messages, flowers, and sweets. At the end of our prayers is: Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all worlds."
