SAEDNEWS: The Vice President of Iran departed for Doha, the capital of Qatar, to participate in the funeral of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's Political Bureau.
According to SAEDNEWS, The Emir of Qatar recently welcomed Iranian Vice President Mohammadreza Aref at Lusail Palace, located north of Doha's city center.
According to the Amiri Court of Qatar, the meeting focused on discussions surrounding regional and international developments. Aref's visit marks his first trip abroad since his election as Iran's vice president, from which he departed for Qatar on Friday.
Before his departure, Aref reaffirmed Iran's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, stating, "The government and people of Iran will continue to be on the same path alongside the dear people of Palestine." He also expressed hope for the realization of the Islamic Ummah’s goal, which includes the liberation of Al-Quds (Jerusalem). "The message of our nation is solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and the liberation of Al-Quds," he remarked.
During his stay in Doha, Aref attended the funeral ceremony for Ismail Haniyeh, the Chief of Hamas’s Political Bureau, which took place on the same day.
