1 cup of flour
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of water
1 cup of rosewater
100 grams of butter
2 tablespoons of brewed saffron
Mikado bread as needed
Toast the flour in a pan until it releases a fragrant aroma and the color darkens slightly.
After toasting the flour to your liking, add the butter and let it melt and combine with the flour.
In another pan, add water and sugar, and heat it until the sugar dissolves.
Once the sugar is dissolved, add the brewed saffron and rosewater, and bring it to a boil.
Gradually add the prepared syrup to the flour and butter mixture, stirring continuously.
Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon to avoid burning your hands and damaging the pan.
When the halva separates from the pan and forms a cohesive mass, it is ready to be rolled.
While the halva is still hot, spread it evenly over the Mikado bread using a pastry spatula.
Gently roll the bread and halva together. Let it cool slightly before cutting it into slices.
Arrange the halva rolls in a serving dish and decorate with powdered coconut and pistachio powder.
