SAEDNEWS: The ear is a sensory organ that detects sound. The human ear consists of three parts: the outer, middle, and inner ear. Tiny differences in the time it takes for sound to reach each ear help us determine the direction of a sound.
According to the Science Service of Saed News, the human ear is one of the body’s most complex and fascinating organs, with two main functions: hearing and maintaining balance. The ear is divided into three parts: the outer, middle, and inner ear. The outer ear collects sound and channels it to the eardrum. In the middle ear, three tiny bones amplify these vibrations and transmit them to the inner ear. Within the inner ear, a structure called the cochlea converts vibrations into nerve signals, allowing the brain to perceive sound, while another part, the vestibular system, detects movement and helps maintain balance. Thanks to the ear, we not only hear the world around us but also stay coordinated and steady in our movements.
