The Interesting Tale of Ibn Sirin and the Greeting
Ibn Sirin asked someone, "How are you?" The man replied, "How would a man feel who owes five hundred dirhams, has a family, and nothing else?"
Ibn Sirin went home, brought a thousand dirhams, gave them to the man, and said, "Give five hundred dirhams to your creditor and use the rest for your family. Woe to me if I ever ask about someone’s condition again without offering a solution!"
They asked him, "Why did you feel compelled to pay his debt?" He replied, "When you inquire about someone’s condition and they tell you, you become a hypocrite if you don’t find a way to help them."

The Tale of Plato and the Praise of the Ignorant
One day, a man came to the great philosopher Plato and sat down, speaking of many things. Among his words, he said, "Today, someone was praising you greatly, saying that Plato is such a noble man and that there has never been anyone like him."
Upon hearing this, Plato lowered his head and became very distressed.
The man asked, "Oh wise one, what harm has come to you that you are so upset?"
Plato replied, "Oh sir! No harm has come from you, but what could be a greater disaster than an ignorant person praising me? I don't know which foolish action I have done that would have pleased him and led him to praise me."

The Beggar in the Market Story
A beggar came to the market every day and people would mock his foolishness. They would show him two coins, one gold and the other silver, but he always chose the silver coin. The story spread throughout the area.
Every day, a group of men and women would come to show him two coins, and he would always pick the silver one, to the amusement of others.
One day, a kind man saw this and was upset about how people were mocking the beggar. He took the beggar aside and said, "Whenever they show you two coins, take the gold one. You’ll make more money, and they won’t make fun of you."
The beggar replied, "It seems you’re right, but if I take the gold coin, they’ll stop giving me money to prove that I’m more foolish than them! You don’t know how much money I’ve made with this trick!"
If you're doing something smart, it doesn’t matter if others think you’re a fool!

The Tale of the Mouse and the Camel Ride
A mouse grabbed the reins of a camel and started walking. The camel, with its gentle nature, followed the mouse, but in its heart, it was waiting for the right moment to correct the mouse.
They continued until they reached a river. The mouse stopped and the camel asked, "Why are you stopping? You are my leader."
The mouse said, "This river is very deep."
The camel stepped into the water and said, "The depth of this water is only up to my knees."
The mouse replied, "There’s a big difference between your knees and mine."
The camel responded, "From now on, lead only other mice like yourself."

The Tale of the King and the Boulder
In ancient times, a king placed a large boulder in the middle of the road and hid himself to observe the people's reactions. Some merchants and wealthy courtiers passed by without noticing, while many others complained about the disorder in the city and criticized the king. Despite this, no one moved the boulder.
As evening came, a poor man carrying a load of fruit and vegetables passed by. He put down his load, moved the boulder, and placed it aside.
To his surprise, he found a bag under the boulder, containing gold coins and a note from the king:
"Every obstacle and barrier can be an opportunity for change in a person's life."

The Story of the Fear of Death!
In ancient times, two neighbors who were always quarreling made a pact to create a poison for one another, hoping that one would die, and the other could live in peace.
They tossed a coin to decide who would first take the poison. The second neighbor lost, so the first neighbor went to the market, bought a strong poison, and gave it to the second neighbor to drink. The second neighbor drank it and went home, asking his servants to prepare a warm bath and salty buttermilk.
When he arrived home, he drank the buttermilk and bathed in the warm water until he vomited, and then rested. The next morning, he woke up fine and went to his neighbor to announce that he had survived.
The second neighbor then went to prepare a poison for the first neighbor, but the first neighbor began to grow increasingly paranoid, hearing sounds of his neighbor preparing the poison.
After several days of distress and fear, the first neighbor died from the fear of the poison before he even drank it!

The Tale of Khusro and Anushirvan
The wise minister of Anushirvan, Bozorgmehr, used to visit the king early every morning and remind him, "Be an early riser to succeed."
One night, Anushirvan ordered his military commanders to wait for Bozorgmehr on his path, intending to ambush him before dawn. When Bozorgmehr arrived the next morning, he found no escape and returned home to dress himself before going to the king.
Anushirvan laughed and said, "Did you not always tell me to rise early to succeed?"
Bozorgmehr replied, "The thieves who rose before me today were the true successful ones. If I had risen earlier and come to your court, I would have been the more successful."

The Sultan and the Hermit
Sultan Malekshah entered the hermit's quarters, where the wise man was studying and did not show the king any respect. The Sultan, angered, declared, "Do you not know who I am? I am the powerful king who defeated enemies and conquered lands."
The hermit smiled and said, "I am stronger than you, for I have conquered that which you are still enslaved to."
The king asked, "What is that?"
The hermit replied, "It is the self. I have conquered my own desires, but you are still enslaved to yours."

Suleiman and Eternal Life
Prophet Suleiman was told that he had access to the waters of eternal life. However, he consulted with Butimar, who advised that life without loss and the passing of loved ones was ultimately meaningless.

The Tale of Nader Shah and the Gardener
Nader Shah was walking in his garden when the gardener, weary and dissatisfied, asked, "What is the difference between me and your minister? I toil and sweat, while he lives in luxury and enjoys his life."
Nader Shah thought for a moment, then called for the gardener and minister to come to the palace. He told them, "There is a cat in the corner of the garden. Go and see how many kittens she has given birth to."
The gardener went first and reported that there were three kittens.
Then the minister, after some investigation, gave a detailed report, including information about the kittens' gender, colors, and their mother's condition.
Nader Shah turned to the gardener and said, "This is why you are a gardener and he is a minister."
