SAEDNEWS: An official at the Iranian foreign ministry on Wednesday condemned Ecuador's move in labelling the Iranian armed forces.
Zahra Ershadi, Assistant Minister and Director General for the Americas at Iran’s Foreign Ministry, strongly denounced Ecuador’s unjust decision to falsely accuse the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Ershadi highlighted that Ecuador’s move, contrary to international law and seemingly influenced by the Zionist regime and the United States, not only harms bilateral relations but also sets a dangerous international precedent. She warned that Ecuador could be held responsibly on the global stage for this action.
She dismissed the US-led campaign to label Iran’s armed forces as ineffective, emphasizing that it will not weaken the IRGC’s resolve to defend Iran’s sovereignty and national security.
“The Iranian Revolutionary Guard is a sovereign institution, rooted in the will of the Iranian people and the nation’s constitution,” Ershadi said. “Together with other armed forces, it will continue to safeguard Iran’s independence, territorial integrity, and security with strength and dignity.”
