SAEDNEWS: While guiding a tour in South Africa, Johan Smallman observed a tense scene at a waterhole as a male lion latched onto a buffalo’s leg. The buffalo fought back and, aided by its herd, eventually drove the lion away.
According to SAEDNEWS: Johan Smallman, a tour guide in the private Timbavati Game Reserve in South Africa, accidentally witnessed an amazing and thrilling scene from the wildlife world. In this scene, a male lion was using all its strength to try and hunt a buffalo at a waterhole. The footage captured from these dramatic moments shows that the lion had firmly gripped the buffalo's hind leg with its powerful jaws, and while both were trapped in the waterhole, the lion tried to force the buffalo to surrender.
However, the buffalo bravely resisted and refused to give in. Immediately, a group of other buffaloes came to help their companion, causing the male lion to retreat in fear of the buffalo herd and unable to secure its prey. This scene not only showcased the strength and bravery of the buffaloes but also highlighted the power of survival and quick decision-making in the wild.
