SAEDNEWS: During his visit to Isfahan, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the Speaker of Parliament, joined the province’s governor for a cycling session aimed at promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle. The event, however, drew sharp criticism from the Hamshahri newspaper.
According to the political news service of Saed News, Hamshahri newspaper reported that the president’s recent decision culminated in a highly discussed video circulating across media outlets and social networks, drawing a wide range of opinions.
Some users interpreted the president’s cycling positively, seeing it as a step toward promoting a culture of healthy habits. One user commented: “This is culture-building; presidents of other countries do similar things.”
However, others criticized the move, arguing that such an action is inappropriate given the country’s current circumstances. One user remarked: “Instead of solving problems, you go cycling?”
