SAEDNEWS: The foreign ministers of Iran and Syria held a phone conversation on Friday, stressing the need to stand against the criminal regime of Israel.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a significant diplomatic engagement on Friday night, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke with his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Mekdad. During the call, Mekdad extended his congratulations to Araghchi on his recent election as Iran's top diplomat, wishing him success in his new role.
Mekdad conveyed warm greetings from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, reinforcing Syria's commitment to strengthening strategic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In response, Araghchi reiterated the Islamic Republic's continued support for Syria and the allied countries that resist the actions of the Zionist regime. He emphasized that the government would uphold its longstanding commitment to assisting Syria and its partners in their efforts against common adversaries.
Both foreign ministers underlined the importance of ongoing consultation and coordination to bolster bilateral relations across various sectors. They also reaffirmed their collective stance against the aggression and crimes perpetrated by the Zionist occupation regime while voicing strong support for Palestine.
