SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iran is not seeking war but will defend its rights in the recent aggression of the criminal Zionist regime against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
According to SAEDNEWS Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed concerns on Sunday, emphasizing that Iran is not looking for war but will defend its rights amid recent attacks from Israel. He described these actions as part of the "aggression of the criminal Zionist regime" against Iran's sovereignty.
During a Cabinet meeting, President Pezeshkian condemned Israel for its military actions within Iranian airspace. He highlighted that for the past 45 years, the people of Iran and the Islamic Establishment have consistently stood firm against any aggressor.
"The world is witnessing that the backers of this criminal regime, led by the United States, talk about human rights and freedom, but they remain silent in the face of the bloodshed and killing of tens of thousands of innocent women and children by this savage regime!" he stated. The President questioned whether the children suffering in Gaza could be labeled as terrorists and criticized the blocking of food and medicine to the oppressed population.
He remarked that global awareness is growing, with many now opposing the Zionist regime and its actions. President Pezeshkian warned that if Israel’s aggression continues, it could lead to increased tensions. He expressed concerns that the U.S. is encouraging Israel to commit these acts of violence, noting, "They (Americans) had promised to end the war in exchange for Iran’s restraint, but they did not keep their promise unfortunately."
In addition to addressing the aggression, the President shared condolences for the families of four members of the Islamic Republic of Iran's air defense forces who were killed while defending against Israeli attacks early Saturday morning. He called on relevant authorities to ensure that the responsible parties are brought to justice.
