Ingredients for Special Red Meat Spice Mix

  • Onion powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Celery seeds: 1 tablespoon

  • Crushed red pepper: 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red pepper: 2 tablespoons

  • Black and white pepper: 2 tablespoons

  • Salt: 1 tablespoon

  • Dried parsley: 1 tablespoon

  • Dried rosemary: 1 teaspoon

  • Dried basil: 1 tablespoon

  • Flour: 1 cup

  • Dried oregano: 2 teaspoons

Instructions for Making Special Red Meat Spice Mix

Mix all the ingredients together and store them in an airtight container. For stews, use 2 to 3 tablespoons of this mix for every half kilogram of meat.

Alternative Ingredients for Special Red Meat Spice Mix

  • Kiwi: 2

  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Onion powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Dried parsley powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Dried rosemary powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Dried basil powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Curry powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric: 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper: 1 teaspoon

  • Red pepper: 1 teaspoon

Instructions for Making Special Red Meat Spice Mix (Alternative Method)

  1. Prepare the Kiwi: To make kiwi spice for meat, first dry the kiwi. Blend two kiwis in a food processor until they become a puree. Spread a very thin layer of kiwi puree on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. Dry the Kiwi: Place the sheet in an oven at 150-200°F until completely dry. If an oven is not available, spread the kiwi puree on a tray and dry it in the sun.

  3. Mix the Ingredients: Once dried and cooled, grind the dried kiwi with the rest of the ingredients listed above in an electric grinder. Ensure all ingredients are mixed and powdered uniformly.
