Follow along for a complete, step-by-step guide to making this irresistible sausage pudding.
1 cup flour
5 eggs
¼ cup milk
½ cup sweet yogurt
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp baking powder
1 bell pepper
3 hot dogs
2 cups pizza cheese
Dried parsley and basil, as needed
Salt, black pepper, allspice, thyme, coriander powder, garlic powder, onion powder, as needed
Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them with a hand or electric mixer for a few minutes until smooth.
Gradually add the milk, oil, flour, baking powder, and yogurt, mixing well until the batter is uniform and free of lumps. For easier mixing, use the mixer on low speed.
Add all the spices and dried herbs, stirring to combine.
Lightly grease your baking dish. If you want to remove the pudding from the mold, line it with parchment paper. Otherwise, you can bake and serve it in the same dish. Pour half of the batter into the mold. Sprinkle chopped hot dogs and diced bell pepper over the batter, then pour in the remaining batter.
Cover the top with pizza cheese. For decoration, add a little dried rosemary and sun-dried tomatoes.
Place the dish in the center of a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) and bake for 40 minutes, or until the pudding is cooked through and the cheese is golden. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve with your favorite sauce. Enjoy!
The pudding batter should be slightly runny, not too thick.
If you don’t have an oven, you can use an electric cake maker or cook it in a pan or pot.
For electric ovens or toasters, reduce the temperature by 20°C (36°F).
Don’t skip the bell pepper—it adds amazing flavor.
Feel free to add mushrooms or a bit of ground meat along with other vegetables if you like.
